October 26th, 2009
Barack Obama, President of USA, has declared the swine flu (H1N1 Influenza) outbreak is getting serious and it is a national emergency. He authorized his health chief with more power such as letting hospitals move emergency rooms offsite to speed treatment and avoid the virus from infecting others.
The declaration comes with the disease more prevalent than ever in the country and production delays undercutting the government’s initial, only 120 million doses of the vaccine could be available by mid-October.
Since April, more than 1,000 people in the United States, including almost 100 children, have died from swine flu (H1N1 Influenza) and the disease has spread widely to 46 states. So far only 11 million doses of the vaccine have gone out to health departments, doctor’s offices and other providers, according to the CDC.

CDC reported over 10,000 cases of Swine Flu in USA and Swine Flu (H1N1 Influenza) has spread to all 50 states. Also, CDC has estimated that there will be around 200,000 cases of Swine Flu reported in the USA in the near future.
